Last weekend my husband and I purchased a diamond and emerald necklace form a high st jeweller, it was reduced from £695 to £395 and we hope perhaps an investment we will enjoy.
When we got home the recipet says "gold pendant" with no mention of the stones.
We haved asked the store to provide a further reicept which they have agreed to do, this has not arrived yet.
The store has a 30 days returns policy, shall we just cut our losses and return the piece.

Why not give them a little more time to provide the receipt first? Tell them you need something better than a receipt for a "gold pendant" for insurance purposes (which if the piece is worth £695 you might need to mention this to your insurers to make sure it is covered as sometimes limitations are in place for single articles)0
