Tesco Credit Card Underwritten by RBS

Can anyone confirm whether the Tesco CC is underwitten by Tesco PF or whether RBS still do it? The website is still an RBS based (cao) portal which suggests that they are still dealt with by RBS, but can someone clarify and either confirm or deny this - factually?
Assume you get declined from RBS will this affect you if you then applied to Tesco a week or two later - in that are they using the same systems or are they independant of each other? Can Tesco view old RBS applications and vice versa....
If RBS declined you would this go against you with tesco, i.e. don;t reapply within 3 months so would one app to tesco and one app to rbs break this rule?
totally hypothetical but handy to get some clarity.
Cheers

Though no longer owned by the Royal Bank of Scotland, Tesco credit cards are still issued and operated by RBS, so if you applied unsuccessfully to RBS at any time in the last eight months, it's quite likely you'd be turned down by Tesco as well.
I'd phone Tesco first if you're thinking of trying. If you ring Tesco Finance on 01423 700545, you'll avoid the perishing 0870/0845 numbersPeople who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -

Yes, as you know, some lenders will not consider applications from former cardholders for various periods following closure.
The Royal Bank of Scotland stable (which includes Lombard Direct, Mint, NatWest, Tesco & Ulster Bank, as well as RBS itself) makes former customers wait 8 months following cancellation of one of its cards
Congratulations on getting accepted by HSBC

Although my experience is not recent (it was around 18 months ago), when I was declined by NatWest I immediately fired an application off to Ulster Bank and was accepted straight away, with the customary (at the time) £3K limit.0
