Hi,
Could anyone give me some advise please, i'm sending the template letter to welcome to recailm my ppi.
I have a copy of the doc that ask's do you want to take out insurance it has clearly been ticked to say i refused it but i have still been paying for it for nearly 3 years!
Before i send the letters do i need to phone them and cancel first or just send the letters?
Any advise would be fantastic!
Thanks, Jenni

Hi Jenni and welcome.;)
You can write to them in a separate letter to cancel this.
Is your loan still active or settled?
If still active some loan companies state to take out a new loan to pay off the existing one but without the PPI, and you can still reclaim on the PPI.
Not sure if its the same for Welcome though. I take it that the PPI is worthless to you anyway.
Was it Welcome that arranged and sold you the finance?
If it were a broker and not directly sold by Welcome, write to the broker.
For more information with templates on reclaiming check this here for more details to help you through this, as there are 2nd stage templates to use as well if they do not resolve this the first time round:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance
Keep on at them until you receive the final response and they should also give details on their final response of the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) as well if your not satisfied with the outcome of your complaint.
Good luck and remember to post by recorded delivery, please keep us posted.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi DI3004,
Thanks for the infomation you have given me!
My loan has about 8 or 9 payments left and was over 36 payments!
I wouldn't of even noticed it only for the fact they are trying to take to many payments of me and i got my original documents out to check the date!
i am really shocked at it all because looking at my contract its the majority of the loan!
i will keep you posted!
