Hi, I am hoping to get tickets to Miley Cyrus's concert tomorrow, for Birmingham NEC in December, but as I have never been to a concert by train, (we live within walking distance from Milton Keynes Bowl) I am trying to plan travel tonight, and although London is closer, I don't want to be traveling by tube late at night,
Does anyone have any idea how long a show usually takes, as I would like to prebook my train tickets aswell, The concert says it starts at 6pm.
And there is no train between the last train at 11.20pm and the first one at 5.25am (Ithink it is) I would like to get it sorted asap if I get tickets,
Sorry for being thick I have never been that far on a train and don't wanna be stuck in the middle of nowhere (or Birmingham, no offence) in December with my 8 yr old daughter lol

im guessng if its a kid show youd be out about 1030 ish she would not be doing more than a two hour set and then you ahve your support act so 3 - 4 hours max

i would suggest looking at a cheap hotel just to be sure or booking train up and national express back ..

depending on when you want to go in december you wouldnt be able to book as they wil have time table changes in septemeber/december too so may have a later train but it depend on changes

Have you thought about asking the NEC what time they expect the show to finish?

    doors @ 6, support act(s) @ 7, miley @ 9, finish 11@ the latest.

dont risk the 11.20 as u wont make it. ur better off goin london, better transport options. loads of people will be on the tube from leaving the concert so its no biggie really.

Don't make the mistake of checking the train times for Birmingham New Street. The station you will need for the NEC is Birmingham International, and they normally have trains directto London.

In regards to the concert finishing time, I would say that if the doors open at 6, you would expect the main act to come onstage at about 8.00 - 8.30, so you should be out by 10.30 or so. The train station is only a short walk from the NEC
