Hellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllp please?

I have a LGRS10 laptop that only charges when it is not turned on, When the computer boots it does not charge. Any Idea's Please?

    Sounds like something hardware related, the laptop could be drawing more current that it supposed to, therefore not enough being supplied to charge the battery.

    I would use a multimeter to measure total charge being drawn when on / off and charging and with / without battery and compare to what it is supposed to be drawing. Anything way off could be a hardware fault, if its normal then perhaps the battery is at fault.
  • It could be a hardware fault with the battery, of course. I've known the chip embedded in the battery to get cooked and mistakenly engage charge protection, but modern laptop batteries are a horror to diagnose yourself!
