    CHECK Your ACCOUNT for VIP!!!!!

As someone said above they have been giving out more VIP slots. I rang up the other day and they told me I had not been selected this time. But I have checked my account a few times a day over the last few days - just in case! Anyway I just logged in now and it took me straight to a screen to pick my VIP slot - which obviously I was shocked/pleased about!!

I'm in a bit of a flap now as I haven't really bothered looking because I thought there would be no choice left when the general sale starts!!

So even if you have been told you are not getting one check your account!!!

I have the Dakota Range, and it is lovely :)

I ordeded the cube set in the sales as I have had my eye on it. Fwiw the Dakota range is in the new catalogue but the prices have been put up. We oreded a sideboard a couple of months ago that was £399 and its now £425 in the new catalogue.

I also have the Dakota range, not from next though. Its way to expensive! I went to a local furniture shop and told him i want something like whats in next but cheaper. He said, he can get hold of that range so i got the price list. All of it was half the price (or less) of next. Ordered everything i wanted and when it turned up it i wasnt dissapointed.

Since ordering the guy brought the furniture into his show room as it was getting popular. Next have found out and and they have told him he had to stop selling it or they will take the supplier to court as they want it exclusively. Just shows you what markup next are getting on it if a furniture supplier can sell it to me at half the price. For example, the large table was £600 in the next catalogue, i got it for £300.

Anyway, ordered all my stuff, no problems with the site, though have been given a new slot today, but dont think i need anything else.

I'm not sure about the 18th. None of our local Next stores are advertising it yet and they usually do for at least a few days before hand if not a week and they're usually rearranging the shop too which hasn't started yet. Despite being an account holder I've heard nothing either and again you usually do. The online link posted in this week's email was interesting though as various things I was after were in it yesterday afternoon but are gone today and are now sold out out the website:( so someone's getting the good stuff early!

All my local shops have been advertising the sale in their windows all week. It starts at 5.00am on Sat 18th and our shop is open until 7.00pm. I don't envy the staff working in the sale.

I have never been to a Next sale before however would love to get a discounted TV. I know it starts at 5am but what time would I need to get to the store to get a chance? Should I start queuing now??

Also I know some people have said about buying online. Does this start at 5am too and can anyone buy things from here as I'm not a VIP member or anything like that.

Thanks so much for any advice!

I'm not sure about queuing at stores as i've never done it. However i'm pretty sure the sale starts online on Saturday at 8am. On Saturday any customers are allowed to buy, you don't have to have a VIP slot.

Has anyone got a link to the list of store opening times for tomorrow? It is normally on the website about 2 days before the sale but for some reason it isn't this year.

Or does anyone know the opening time for London Colney? I've just found on the Next website and it says 4.30am but the past 3 sales it has posted the incorrect opening time!

    Thanks.
