    I have an ISA with HSBC and get my interest monthly.

    But is that paid into your ISA again, or into a current account you have specified?
    If a current account, as I expect, than the interest earned will be taxed from the day it reaches your current account. This is why I usually opt for yearly, but if in both cases it is paid into your ISA, I don't suppose it really matters.

    Tax is irrelevant for an ISA!
    I'm fully aware of the tax status of ISA's. ;)

    My post was in reply to regularsaver1's statement that "on savings accounts in general though - annual usually pays more than monthly".
