I was the first to vote No. !!!!!! it's not that hard folks, I'm not overly interested in endowments so I just ignore any thread with that in the title. If it hasn't got it in the title it's only a case of hitting the back button if that's what an OP is about, it's not rocket science.
Only me opinion and I could be wrong - but rarely am.0 -

In this instance you definately aren't IMHO!
I am a fee charging WoM Mortgage broker.I now no longer give information and opinion within the Mortgage boards, because a number of posters who, having approached me professionally, agreed my fee-which has been been made very clear at the outset, taken my advice (normally cancelling a [home visit] meeting at short notice) have then approached one of the fee-free brokers on here to arrange the very same deal I have advised.Whilst I totally concur with the ethos of "money saving"- abusing the goodwill of a professional who provides a quality service is taking it too far! :mad:0 -
I voted no. The endowment issues are going to get less common as time goes on and posts should become less. You could argue that the the life assurance forum is just as suitable for endowment quotes as endowments are classified as life policies.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0

Though I hasten to add that when I see a title like:
Brother in Law and his endowment!
it makes the mind boggle and I certainly couldn't resist a peek!!0 -
I would definitely support splitting it into
endowments
mortgages
More than that and the extra number of forums may have an adverse effect on the overall presentation of the site.
But the viewing numbers on the forum seem to justify a two-way split.0 -
Thanks it wouldnt hurt anyone to split them. Althought there will always be some that fear change.0

The only problem I can see is with those who have an "endowment mortgage". They might think ... "do I post on the Endowment Board or do I post on the Mortgage Board"
hhhmmmmm
Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac

I think either way they would get an answer.0
