Hi just want to say what a helpful useful site this is and has been excellent source of information for me. What I do find a bit of a pain is that there is too much in this busy section so is there anyone else that would liek to see it split 3 ways ?
1. Endownments advice
2. Normal Mortgages advice
3. Buy to Let only Mortages advice
I just think it would be easier to navigate through this forum.

Yes sometimes I feel I wish the Endowment claims advice were seperate from the normal mortgage advice. It would make navigation much easier I agree.
Although it might be nice to also see a seperate section for BTL mortgages I'm not sure if MSE would be willing to split the forums to enable this. A lot of the people who have BTL mortgages also seem to have residential mortgages & sometimes their queries cross over the two.
A good suggestion Scooby. :TThe bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
if it were to be split it would need splitting into more categories that that.
Endowments
prime residential
sub prime residential
buy to let
self cert
commerical
etc etcI am a Mortgage Adviser

Why not add a seprate section for broker bashing?
I am a fee charging WoM Mortgage broker.I now no longer give information and opinion within the Mortgage boards, because a number of posters who, having approached me professionally, agreed my fee-which has been been made very clear at the outset, taken my advice (normally cancelling a [home visit] meeting at short notice) have then approached one of the fee-free brokers on here to arrange the very same deal I have advised.Whilst I totally concur with the ethos of "money saving"- abusing the goodwill of a professional who provides a quality service is taking it too far! :mad:0 -
fantastic idea! how funny would that be!! we could have a three split
name them and shame them
praise them and raise them
challenge them and lose
LMAO

I'd have thought there was enough endowment "traffic" to justify a separate forum. The present combined forum is very busy.Trying to keep it simple...

the benefits of splitting all these subjects are that it will be easier for posters to see what has and has not already been discussed and for experts to navigate to areas which they find most interesting/specialise in. Is anyone going to make a formal request?I am a Mortgage Adviser
