We applied for a 0% credit card back in December...got a letter end of January asking for documentation. Sent it off and expected the card through soon...and waited...and waited..and paid interest on BT we wanted to transfer...and waited.

Rang up...told to wait. Rang again...told to wait. Waited...got charged more interest. Rang again...told to go in branch as they couldn't do anything over the phone...went in today.

We were told HSBC only keep your details on file for a month, then they drop off the system. becuase they asked for ID docs so late into the application, we'd dropped off the system by the time we returned them (the next day). So although HSBC returned our docs promptly, no-one recorded what they were in support of.

So we've been waiting for ages (like we were told to) paid interest on our BT and have to reapply for the stupid card. If this is what they're like trying to get your business, I dread to think what they're like after they have it.
