Hello,
I am currently on Fixed Price Energy online NSC fixed until 2011 with Scottish Power. This tariff was publicised on this site when it was available. This tariff has now been withdrawn so when I go to price comparison sites I am unable to select it as my current tariff and as such am unable to determine whether this remains the best deal.
So my question is has some one else looked into this? If so
Thanks Jason.

- Does this remain the best tariff on the market
- When would I want to review the tariff again i.e. if BG announce a 10% reduction etc
Thanks Jason.

Have you tried all the comparison sites? If so, just use any online no standing charge tariff to get the best buys. You need to compare the per kwh costs. Then look at discounts. If there are much cheaper options now, it may be worth switching and paying the leaving penalty, especially if there is cashback.0

You are going to have to do the research yourself to confirm that you will make a saving. Find out your cost per KWH with Scottish Power (on you statements or http://www.scottishpower.co.uk/Home_Energy/Product_Prices/Previous_Products/ and you will need to know the first two digits of you MPAN)
With the amount the that prices went up and that you were protected form these increases the prices have not fallen back to the same amount or lower than you are paying so changing now may end up with you shooting yourself in the foot. Uswitch I think have the product under fixed price energy online dual fuel, but you would have to confirm with them that it is the same product.
BTW there is now tie in for the fixed 2011 tariffLBM:j -16/06/04
Debt at highest=£15,526:mad:
Now=£1500:T :T :T0 -
Not sure if you are talking dual or gas or electric. But for electric the following works
Energy helpline
choose 'Online Fixed Price Energy No standing Charge'
When you have results back you can clink on your current tariff ( it's near the top) to confirm it is the right one.
Uswitch
Choose payment method fixed direct debit and Fixed Price Energy Online NSC historic. Again once results shown you can confirm it is the right one.0 -
Without even looking up the rates.
It will not be the cheapest tariff, probably never was, however it does give you the security that you wanted when you signed up for it.
Unless prices come down by a significant amount again this year, I'd keep it running.0 -
I'm on the same tariff, it is still the cheapest for me.0
