Hi, I'm having major problems with Barclay Card. They phone me CONSTANTLY one after the other from 7:30am to 9pm. It's sometimes a person and sometimes an automated system telling me to call them back! (I don't answer the phone) I don't owe them an awful lot but I lost my job so have been told to write to them and ask them to freeze my interest, I am making token payments.
The thing is they haven't answered 2 letters, does anyone know what address I should write to at BC? I don't want to discuss my details with some snotty nosed call centre person in another country, I want it in writing.
I feel they are harassing me with these phone calls it is driving me to the edge!
any help would be gratefully received regarding an address

Isn't there a correspondenceaddress on the letters they've sent you? And we would strongly advise you do something about it soon, as the defence of I'd rather do it in writing won;t hold much water with them I'm afraid...
Just bite the bullet, it's better in the long run.0 -
Sharklycard don't do things in a hurry!!! They are bad at answering post. You are right not to speak on the phone - get everything in writing - will take them 1-2 months to respond. Seriously thats what I have experienced and still they dont answer what you asked them in the first place. The main address is Northampton but any arrears is dealt with by Liverpool but they never give that address out. Sit tight and ignore the calls - check out www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk and get the telephone harrassment letter off the site - send it recorded. It worked for me.
If you have got a number of debts then consider CCCS or Payplan. They will take the strain off contacting creditors for you and all corresspndence has to go through them so your creditors wont call you. They are free to use - avoid the fee charging ones as they will rip you off. Both CCCS and Payplan are government approved so the offer they put forward will more likely be accepted.
Good luck0 -
You say they haven't reponsed to your letters - maybe they are ringing you to discuss?0

Why don't you try contacting them via secure message aswell?0 -
Thanks guys! That's a big help!
The reason I don't want to speak to them over the phone is I've found they are really off hand and rude. When I have spoken to them before I spoke to someone in India who couldn't understand me or me them!
I was told to deal with it in writing anyway by CCCS. They couldn't really help me as I am unemployed...but not claiming JSA cos I am soon registering as self employed.
It's really stressful and frightening.
I will NEVER ever get a credit card again!0
