Hi, can anyone help please?
Smart Passion. Registered 2003. Petrol.
Problem. Car immobiliser will not allow the car to turnover and start.
Symptoms: Key fob only makes indicator lights flash quickly for about 5 seconds. It will do nothing to lock ,unlock, open the boot or allow to start the car with the key.

Its possible that the key needs resyncing with the car which would mean a trip to a dealer and a bill of about £100! :eek:0 -

Assuming it's not the battery, the key has gone out of sync with the car. AFAIK there was a flash upgrade item done at service time back in 2004 for this issue.0
