Sat Nav info/help .. upgrading to tomtom software

Hi,

I'm hoping to buy a sat nav this week for my husband for fathers day and have been looking at a few models. The tomtom one v4, Navman S50 3D and the navigo v3 (from ebayer).

I really just want one from a to b but that has nice graphics and maps are up to date and wont take us down the wrong routes.

I'm quite attracted to the navigo one as its only £50 and i've heard you can then upgrade to tomtom 7 software.

Can anyone tell me how i go about doing an update, what do i have to buy & are there other ways of doing it without costing a fortune?

You have to buy the TT7 software with a retail price of £90 so not really worth buying a new sat nav and the TT prog.

Also have a look at Pocketgps its a very good site with lots of info

Tomtom and Garmin are the makes which are recommended the most and the software is able to be updated free but you have to pay for map updates
