Hi, I've been in touch with the council whom I get Local Housing Allowance but they dont seem to know the answer so I thought I would ask here.
I'm a single parent on Incapacity Benefit. My eldest son has been accepted into the Army and goes in August. At the moment I have a 3 bedroom house for him & his brother. I am trying to find out IF they will stop the LHA when he goes in the army or if I will need to get a smaller house. His permanent residence is gonna be here and he will be home after basic training etc so I dunno how it works.
Obviously I will report the change in circumstances when he goes in but would just like to know if anyone has been in this situation before?
