Happy birthday kittyboo, sorry I'm a bit late.

Sounds like a lovely meal Katie - I bet you are full! Good luck to your brother for his wedding - wow on the beach, fantastic! It'll be nice for you to see the video when they come home too.

OH has gone out (I'm too tired tonight) so I promised him jacket spuds with tuna melt at 8pm when he gets in and Top Gear starts. He normally does tuna melt when we have it and it's always gorgeous (he'd admit it's one of the few things he can cook really well lol)... now can I remember what he normally puts in it?!

I wish I could spend £100 on a haircut/highlights (my hair looks like a mop) and a £100 on two summer outfits but I can't.............got a top yesterday for £15 and felt guilty

our local college (which does hairdressing) is usually looking for practice models - think you have to pay for the materials used but it does work out a lot cheaper - and the students are fully supervised (just a bit slower as they're still learning)....might be worth asking if you've got a training college anywhere near you? I'm with you on the guilt thing though - I get my sister to trim my hair and use a home kit...:o

I agree with essexgal - I've done this a couple of times, only costs about £15-20 for me to get highlights/trim this way. Normally it's £70!!!! They are slow but very careful, and the two times I've been I've really liked it. They're not very good at making suggestions I found so I needed to know what I wanted.

Splodz, no major wins on the board or am I wrong  (well unless you may consider my £25 a major win :D  already spent ) but hopefully tomorrow this will change, no major events either just ranting. Glad you enjoyed using your new car.

The weather here is gloomy but not cold

Tulip, sounds like you had a good time. Congratulations on their wedding.

awww cheers essex, I am a bit paranoid about letting students do my hair :o too fussy for their liking! You maybe lucky to get a good hairdressing college where you are but I don't trust them here. I have a major issue of trustng hairdressers! I used to have a great hairdresser once. So I will probably just save some money towards it and be patient for 2 more months! This is one thing that is worth investing in otherwise I will probably need to find someone to correct it and pay more etc...

I will do it as soon as I hand in my thesis, have writing up fees outstanding plus have to put aside £200 for priniting off few copies and binding them!!!!!
