Business cards from internet sites?

Vistaprint, you want professional cards? then vistaprint is not the one. Remember they advertise there logo on the back of the card, I had a window cleaner come in my shop other day, with one of them made up free vistaprint cards and guess what it went right in bin. I would never represent my company like this, god it is your business your trying to advertise. Business cards are so cheap to get and design, why would you do the free or vistaprint option?Kind Regards

Uhm Vistaprint are good to tide you over but they're not the best quality, and you don't have to have their ad on the back either - that's down to bad editing on the customers part. I must admit the cards I had from printing.com are fab and they are printed both sides, I had luxury cards which have a silky feel to them, are shaped, printed both sides in full colour and they give me an edge and they get loads of compliments.:D
Vistaprint are good if you want cards to give away at business events (or in my case wedding fairs) where people chuck things in the bin anyway - decent cards are kept for best.0 -
Just to say that I've used vista-print for months with no problems at all - the back of my cards don't have their logo on and instead have a special offer for my customers. You can use their set designs to get you started, but can also download your own designs really easily.
I've never been charged a regular amount per month and only pay when I order.
Yes they aren't the most unique designs but to get you started can be effective - it seems a shame to ignore them as an option when they can be really good.
Certainly not a scam.... and I have saved a lot of money on my printing costs as I started out my small business. As I earn more money I may well change my printing provider, but for the moment they suit my needs.0 -
eric ..what qty do you need. if a massive order have a look at http://www.prestige-printing.co.uk/categories.asp?prd=business+cards&cat=9
5000 from £77 i get 25000 done for £135. they will send a sample pack out to you. i have also used saxo and can reccomend, only thing with them is you have to do artwork and supply in printers format.Div 1 Play Off Winners 2007

quantity wise, probably 100-200, so not an awful lot.
wouldn't require any artwork as I'm planning to have just a plain one (like Patrick Bateman's!) so would need top quality typography and paper.0 -

I've been using vistaprint for years also with no problem -like anything you just need to read the small print.
And back to a previous post, chucking away a card from a window cleaner just because it comes from vistaprint is ridiculous-i'd rather pay less to have my windows cleaned than pay extra to fund a designer business card. In fact if anyone gives me one of those sorts of card my first thought isn't 'ooh how professional' it's 'how much have you bumped your prices up to pay for them?'
I agree that the free vistaprint cards aren't great, but the premium ones where you can upload your own photos and logo are of good enough quality for me.0 -
Don't use VistaPrint at all. I used them for years and had no problems....
Then, on one order they started to charge me the £9.95 per month which is impossible to cancel. I had to contact my card company to reverse the charges as 'fraudulent' in the end. It turns out that they automatically sign you up unless you untick a box - however that box was apparently on a pop-up - so anyone with a pop-up blocker was being forced into the scam with no option to cancel.
Further, they charged me for 'free' items'. Never used them again and told several other people and they all stopped ordering too.
I've heard good things about printing.com - one of my friends uses them several times a week and he reports good things.0 -
printing.com are fab - they have so much choice, will design the card for you too and they often print on both sides. They have lots of offers too and everything I have had from them has been fantastic quality - I like them so much that they are now designing a new website for me:D0

They are scammers! Look it up on google. You buy cards form there and then they sin you up for a club that costs you £10 a month. Even if you tick no.
I don't think that's right! I've been with Vistaprint for ages and I've had loads of free stuff from them, cards, stickers and a lovely calender! They have never asked me to sign up for anything!0 -
Vistaprint may send you hundreds of free offers every day. Always receiving emails...I won this...I won that...Free cards...Fact is they are advertising themselves and using us to advertise for them. I guess it will not be suceed. Cheap quality says it all (even is free)0
