Insurance for a charity drive...

:mad:We are leaving on a charity drive from London mid July - we just purchased a car specifically for the trip and now somehow need to get it ensured for the rally. With only 5 weeks till departure and seven weeks on the road, we need insurance for just over 2 months (this is if there are any insurance companies that would cover us outside of europe? otherwise less than 2 months). When we reach Mongolia, our car gets auctioned off for charity.
:mad:The car is being kept off the road at present but needs some modifications and movement before departure. Both drivers are on foreign drivers licences and so most insurance companies cannot quote us on line - we cannot switch to the English driver's licence because our passports are off getting visa stamps. Any suggestions????

Surely the organisers must be able to help you?
Can you not purchase insurance in your home EU state (I'm presumung you're both EU nationals). That would cover you for travel in the EU where insurance is more strictly regulated.
With some countries it's possible to purchase insurance at the border posts. The man without a signature.0 -
Get a uk licence then but as said you not got your passports... or phone the country that issued your licence and ask them to insure you
