halifax easy cash account

hi,
i applied for a halifax easy cash account three weeks before. I got a declaration letter , which i signed and sent it back last monday.
I didnt hear anything from them till today. I called them today and they told me that they have offered me an account. It can be activated by depositing 10 pounds.
can anybody tell me , how much time will the card take to arrive?? and will they dispatch the card only when i have activated the account?? can my university transfer money in my account once it has been activated?? and how can i use my online banking acc.?? i am yet to receive my welcome letter.

Thats strange, I applied online and it was just sent out in the post with no need to deposit money to activate it at all.
And in answer to your other questions...yes your Uni can transfer money in and you can register for internet banking on the Halifax website.0 -

Mine only ever gets money transferred in for flights to avoid the debit card surcharges!
I'd double check with Halifax to make sure your application was definitely successful.0 -
Someone I know had to deposit money to get their debit card. They deposited money and got their card in about 6 days from memory.You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.0

i recieved my online banking password today.
It says to use my username which they have sent me before.
but i havent recieved any username from them.
neither have i received any welcome letter from the bank regarding my account. However the account is open.0 -
that is strange - I transferred a quid in as an FP to check all was ok with the account but wasnt asked to specifically deposit any money.

username is supposed to come first i think, but maybe it got delayed0
