Have u not tries halifax theyve been really good with me,my credot score was 850,i work parttime and they have taken all tax credits into account

Have been with Halifax for 7 years. They would only give us a mortgage promise for £84,000 as they wouldn't include my husband's carers allowance. We need £102,000.

Think we're just going to put our house back on the market now (we were going to rent it out as we thought no chain would be quicker and the people we were buying off were supposed to be emigrating at the end of July). We'll have a 50% deposit if we can get a buyer for ours so might even find a better house - I'm trying to stay positive here.

Hope it works out for you with the Halifax.

I was thinking of trying halifax for a remortgage of £70000, house is valued at 95,000-100,000, credit score is 948 but have one default since 2003 which should come off in october this year. Do you think they would be ok to give me that mortgage with a default

Am not too sure about defaults,iv got 1 late payment on mine from 18 months ago. My LTV is 75% and i think that has done it for me. Broker said the better LTV u have the better chance of getting the mortgage

The default should be removed in october 2009 :j.

The LTV if we got a remortgage would be 77%, at the minute we have 63% LTV but also a secured loan thats why we are going to remortgage
