I'd like to buy a Freeview box as a present for an elderly friend who owns a very basic small TV (with a DVD player). I want something easy to install and to use.
Any advice please?

Both Tesco and ASDA have models for £25. If you want one below £20, eBay is perhaps your best bet.0

I picked one up from Tesco for £19.99 awhile back I think it was a special offer but worth a look anyways0

Ebay??????:T If you don't have anything sensible to say, don't say it! :T0

There is a topic on HUKD this morning about a Technika in Tesco for less than £10.0

For the elderly, perhaps with failing eyesight, check the size of the remote control buttons. I once had a Freeview box with a tiny remote that I could use, but she could not.
I got her a Humax that has nice big buttons and she has no trouble with that.
Might cost you more than £20 though, but a cheap one is of little use if he/she cannot operate it.No free lunch, and no free laptop

You can get a smartprice one at asda for around a tenner and they are alright, have two for the kids rooms and they can operate them easily.0

Thanks for all the replies so far. I'll have a look at Tesco, Asda and Currys this weekend and see if they have anything cheap. Unfortunately I don't have a Makro (or Costco) card, but I'll ask my friends.0
