Pension credit help please!

For my lovely mum and dad.

My dad was 65 yesterday and mum is completely confuzzled to what they are entitled to!!

My dad has been on the sick for many years(one leg, one eye and depression, bless him!) so he currently recieves about £79 a week I think.
My mum works full time(she is 57) and earns £21k a year as a PA with the NHS.
They also live with my 93(!!!) year old nan but I have no idea what she gets-she doesnt have any savings.
My parents sadly have no saving but only owe about £3k on their mortgage.

Any ideas anyone??? Please!!!

She is worried because she works they wont get anything and the sick pay with stop :(

He should get his State Pension, if he has paid and/or been credited with enough contributions. It's not means-tested, so it shouldn't matter how much your mum earns.

If he does not have enough contributions for some reason, he could claim Pension Credit, but this IS means-tested.

Has your dad ever worked? If so, for how long?

So he will have about 35 years of paid contributions and when he was 'on the sick' (if he was claiming Incapacity Benefit) he will have had them credited for 15 years.

If this is the case he should be eligible for his full State Pension.
