Lots of time for it to recover for me......no holidays abroad planned for the forseeable future!

Makes me look like a sad character though, everyone else appear to be well travelled when the furthest I have ever been is Denmark and the Czech republic and neither of those was for a long holiday as such, just weekenders related to sport.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

    Your time will come.

You have a lot on your plate at the moment - hopefully once you get your qualifications and maybe a decent job things will look up.

I could say you haven't missed much - but I do like travel - so I can't really say that.

Lol yeah.....when the children have grown up!

My problem was when I did have a good job and money, I also had a husband who didn't much care for foreign travel. I did one year nag him into us going away to Greece for our holiday and we were about to book it up for the September when I found out I was pregnant and due...in September!

Never got him to agree to anything further than Disneyland Paris after that.

I love travel, although my visits abroad have either been work (Denmark) or sports (Czech Republic, Italy, Denmark) related which has meant the long days sitting on the beach or enjoying the night life is not quite the order of the day. Saying that, my sports related Danish trip saw me travel from Aarhus to Copenhagen and back again on a train..completely on my own and loving it!

I loved my business related Danish trips, business class on the way there and first class on the way home..I do love to travel in style! :rotfl:Plus they were much better (and the expense account much bigger) than the business trips to blooming Ilford, Stratford or Dagenham!

I agree the prices have increased due to exchange rates.
But I think you will see in the next 6 months.

    £= $1.5-£1.6
    £= 1.2-1.3 Euros

[09:02 EUR/GBP: GBP 80mn Ronaldo Transfer Adds Weight] London, June 11.

Manchester United"s acceptance of an GBP 80mn bid for Cristiano Ronaldo from Real
Madrid (Man Utd website) is helping to maintain downward pressure on EUR/GBP,
with a fresh 2009 low of 0.8514 just plumbed.

Some profit-take buy interest may emerge into 0.8500 if the cross extends
south. 0.8500 is a 61.8% Fibo retracement point of the rise from 0.7694 (Oct 20
    low) to 0.9805 (Dec 30 all-time high). 0.8796 was Monday"s intra-week peak.
    0.8867 was last Friday"s top (June 5).

0.6700 was the average EUR/GBP traded level through the first 10 years of the
    euro (1 Jan 1999-31 Dec 2008).

Im going to Corfu on 29th June, and am going to hold out.

To be honest, I only take a few hundred euros for the first couple of days and will just withdraw from my debit card, as you usually get a slightly better exchange rate.
