What's the best 5 year fix at the moment??

I have just come off my current 5 year fix (Cheshire 5.32%) and I am currently on their SVR 2.5%. Looking at the news and forums saying that the swap rates are going up, I am now looking to grab a new 5 year fix. The best I have found at the mo is the 75%Ltv Natwest 4.69% £299 product fee, with free legals and valuation. My house worth £280000 and mortgage of approx £75000 over the next 10 years (probably 5 or 6 with overpayments).
Anyone found any better deals than this??

Hi,
Yours seems one of the best I've seen which looks the same as the one I'm going for:
RBS
5 year fix
4.69%
£299 fee
Free valuation & Legal fees0 -
On Monday I applied for the NatWest 5yr Fix @ 4.59%, £299 fee with 10% overpayments
Post Office have a 4.45% and HSBC do a low 4% rate0 -

The Natwest & RBS look like simlar deals. The Post office 4.45% is a 3 yr fixed rate with £599 arrangement and fees on top. They do a '3 year fixed fees assistance deal' at 4.65%
My Britannia current 4.74 3 yr fixed is up this Septembee and seriously considering the 5yr deals mentioned0 -
In a very similar position. Our 2 year deal is up on the 1st Oct - how soon can I get one of these type deals held, booked, whatever it's called?
ThanksAnd if, you know, your history...0 -
I think you have to apply directly.
I have a phone appointment with my existing lender (Britannia) to see what they do. If its make economic sense to stay with them (no fees) on a different product then thats what I'm going to do0 -
All depends on LTV.
Post Office 4.45% is for max 60% LTV
NatWest 4.69% is for max 75% LTV
Some other to consider...
Chelsea 4.50% for 65% LTV
Loughborough 4.89% for 80% LTV0 -
Does anyone know what the best 5 year fixed rate is with a LTV of 85% please? This is for a new mortgage on a property we are hoping to buy for around £240,00 with a 40K deposit.“A journey is best measured in friends, not in miles.”

A number of you have mentioned free legal fees and valuation for RBS group mortgages. I can't see any mention of this on the site

Hi,
If you select the product it should tell you in the details.
or look up tescocompare mortgages, click on the RBS deal and it will tell you in the details.
The one I went for yesterday had FREE legal & valuation fees.
RBS 5 year fix @ 4.69%
£299 product fee
10% yearly overpayments allowed
Hope this helps0
