So then jonthedog, I am due to be married next year and we are on a small budget so want to keep the cost of rings down, We want to either go for tungsten or titanium rings, not a problem for the OH but I need an engagement ring to match and I'm worried about the wearing down thing with mixing metals. Can you not get tungsten engagement rings or titanium, i've seen some titanium ones but they are usually plain band with a diamond planted in the centre, don't/can't they do more traditional looking ones in these cheap metals? thanks Helen xx

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
I've always found titanium does scratch very lightly all over quite easily.

I was wondering the same thing, all the titanium engagement rings I have spotted are a bit manly looking. If anyone has seen any that are a bit more traditional looking I'd love to know where!

I blew up the page to 200% & it looks like Gilletts jewellers who are indeed an Australian co & you can design your own titanium wedding ring
