Titanium wedding rings

My finace isn't actually all that bothered about rings - except to say that he wants a silver coloured one. After we looked in palladium, I found a display case of titanium rings, the cheapest of which was only £40. I spoke to the jewellers and asked about durability, hardness, how long it would wear etc, and whether in general there would be any problems with using it as a wedding ring, and came up with no problems or issues.
My question is this - anyone else looked into this? What do you think of titanium for wedding rings, and has anyone heard anything to make them weary? I'm just cautious because £40 is so much cheaper than anything else!

My OH is having a titanium ring. He wants something a bit more "masculine" (his words!) than a traditional band. It's costing £37, and I know what you mean about it seeming too cheap, but he loves it and they're very hardwearing.
His logic for liking it so much - robocop was made of Titanium!!!!Nobody I'd rather be0 -
you will be fine with a titanium ring
I used to work in a jewellers, and I always suggested the groom went for titanium (unless the couple were going for matching rings)
Its amazingly durable, and hard wearing, dont be worried by the priceMarried on 5th March 2010still lurking on the wedding board tho :rotfl:0 -
The only thing I could see wrong with them is that you can't get them resized if thats ever an issue0

My DH has a titanium ring as he uses his hands a lot at work for ligting and carrying etc and it's more hardwearing, we've had no problems with it.
We got it from www.johngreeddesign.co.uk which is highly recommended on a number of other wedding forums, we ordered several and returned the ones DH didn't want, no problem - the service was excellent.
At the time we were planning the wedding (which was last Oct) actually we didn't know of any other husband to be who WASN'T having a titanium ring instead of gold/platinum or whatever, so I would say if you go with titanium then it's been well researched and given the thumbs up!0 -
We both have titanium rings - no problems at all except the resizing thing as OH has lost some weight and his is a bit loose now.
The colour of mine is the same as my white gold engagement ring.
Ours are matching and have diamonds in from the beautiful company.Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

My h2b likes the look of a titanium ring, must say they do look more modern and 'masculine'. Plus gold looks quite chavvy on most men IMO xx0

We have bought purple titanium for our wedding later in the year. They ended up being £200 for the pair from Aus
