hello

i got a letter yesterday saying that they will be visiting tomorrow to check that everything is still the same could they just not do this over the phone why do they need to see bank statements etc ?

They often check entitlement is still the same, make sure partners haven't moved in, no-one's working when they shouldn't, no extra money going into the bank.

If you've done nothing wrong, there's nothing to worry about They do seem to be standard visits, it's just your turn so try not to let it bother you

thanks for the reply was just suprised as tax credits only do it once a year hopefully my online statements will do as i haven't been well enough to go to the bank this week

They can get your bank statements if they need to so I wouldn't worry about that bit too much

Was it a standard visit or had they anything specific they wanted to check?

it was just a random computer check thing he sais that it was just unlucky for me lol then he just asked had anything changed looked at when i recieved moneys and then said see again in a year.
