Benefits office baffled

Im still thinking husband claims JSA IB and you should get the exemption
I also believe you should still appeal the IB decision.
Only got ten years benefit experience so not much I havent come across and that is my view on your situation.0 -
Thank you ESA
The women at JS said the information came from Newcastle.
It has been a nightmare right from the start including the fact my husband was given the wrong advise when he first signed on. At least we got that put right and are able to claim mortgage support this is another reason why I don't want to change him being on JS.
Nobody seems to care that while your messing about changing claims, your waiting for money to live on.
Fingers crossed that a job comes along for him soon.
Thanks for your help.0 -
Thanks MRS TO BE
I am sure you are all right on here. Like I said before the people who give advise on here must be the dedicated one's.
But how do I prove to them different, it all just got so silly I give up.0 -

The people on here are (self-evidently) quite dedicated, but you're also gaining the benefit of asking dozens of people the same question at the same time, so the ones with the best knowledge can give good advice.
I can help people with a lot of issues, but this is outside my field - if you were to ask me at work, my help wouldn't have been as good as you've got here.
It's the basic tragedy / dilemma of making a benefit system flexible enough to meet different needs whilst at the same time making it so complex that no-one can fully understand it!

I can appreciate there is too much legislation going on at the present.
What does annoy me is when you get 2 different answers when you ring up and they have nothing to do with legislation. I am referring to not having enough NI contributions. Even I can work that one out.
Thank for your reply real13140 -
Well thought it would be to much to expect the joint claim to be sorted out in just over a week so we were expecting just my husbands money to go in today.
Wrong guess what we got NOTHING paid in today.
So rang them again (by the way it cost us £10 in calls last month) Told this time there was a note on his claim saying something about your wife dosn't want to go on your claim because she dosn't want to have to sign on. This has happened because I enquired about JSA6 form.
So instead of sorting it out, perhaps a phone call from them would have been nice, but no stick a note on the system and pay them NOTHING.
You couldn't even write a book on this!!!!!!0
