Atec 37" LCD and SKY+ Ghosting

Options
Hi,

I have recently purchased a new TV and AV equipment as follows...

Atec AV370W 37" HD Ready LCD TV (https://www.ebuyer.co.uk)
Yamaha DSPAX757SE-TIT (https://www.hughesdirect.co.uk)
Cambridge Audio 5m component cable

I have SKY+ (Pace V2), DVD Player (cheapo Targa) and DVD Recorder (Philips DVDR75) connected to Yamaha via s-video/optical and then the AV is connected via component to the TV. The problem is that I get bad ghosting on the picture - this happens with any output source. I first had a cheap component cable (£8), but it is the same with the £100 richer sounds one!

If I connect the the AV to the TV using s-video there is no ghosting (but I thought component is better than s-video)

Also when viewing SKY+ or DVD direct through the TV Scart 1 or 2 the picture is fine (well when I say fine, I mean the quality is OK and there is no ghosting).

I know that the picture is not going to be perfect as I am not using HD, but I am sure that I should not have any ghosting.

Also - has anyone got the SKY+ remote control codes to work this TV??

Any ideas why it is sooo bad - I have to watch it through scart as it is too bad otherwise...

Any help would be appreciated as it is #@~£$* annoying
