quick question for you all

anyone know if it's possible to hire a car and take it abroad for a day?

e.g. hire a car in London and take it a day trip to France

I've looked at terms and conditions of a couple of hire companies who state vehicle shouldn't leave the UK - as such, I'm just wondering if it's even possible to do

I've never found any that will do it, although its common on the continent france to italy say.

Have you considered going over as a foot passenger on the ferry, you can hire cars at the terminal in Calais or i'm sure you could do the same thing getting the eurostar from London.
