possible divorce - tricky situation

Not sure where to start but a divorce looks like it's on the cards soon - hubby fed up although i'm ok with him - he's had enough of me & my kids....Ok, whatever but....
We moved last year - half the house was paid by my inheritance half by mortgage - ten grand wasted from that - had further secured loan for six grand for car etc.
He works - awful wage - I don't & haven't - house is interest only mortgage at present but in recesion I'll not be able to pay for it unless it stays interest only as with no employment history & living in a badly affected ex mining area i'm not likely to find anything!
I have not a clue what will happen - I don't know if i'd be able to stay - it's in joint names - 2 kids are mine - 2 kids are ours....
Don't know what i'm talking about here really - just need help so i've a little knowledge if he 'starts' so to speak....Sorry to ramble - trying to put in relevant info. 2 kids have medical conditions - not physical, one is about to have her own child too. All of us live here - 4 bed house.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. In a divorce situation then you will need to get legal advice quickly. In my experience courts try to ensure that children have stability and that includes the house, as a very general rule this would be the case until the youngest child reaches 16 or leaves full time education - obviously this would involve your husband paying towards the upkeep of a house he is no longer living in and you would need to ensure he would be able to live as well. It might be worth you contacting the dwp to see what benefits you would be entitled to if the worst were to happen0
