They are much more lenient if you tell the truth from the outset. If you have already told the truth in claiming then you have nothing to worry about.
It seems that they think you have done something wrong if they are saying 'under caution' if yu have then just fess up' even if it was an honest mistake. They usually have some proof before taking this step in my experience.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Tell the truth from the start.
How often does your OH stay and whats are there circumstances?
Or are you running a buisness from your home or working on the side or anything else of the likes?0 -
The website below gives a sensible explanation. If you have been invited to an interview then you may have received a leaflet which contains many of these details.
I would strongly advise you seek representation from a solicitor, they will explain all. You don't have to have one but it will help.

For reference you will be "cautioned" and your comprehension of the caution will be checked.
It will be said like this:
You do not have to say anything but it may harm your defence if you do not mention something, when questioned, that you later rely on in Court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence.
In simple terms:
They are going to ask you questions as they have reason to believe that you may have committed a criminal offence. You don't have to answer the questions. If you wont answer the questions during the interview or reply "no comment" or give a different explanation at Court (should they decide to prosecute you) then the Court can decide to place less reliance on what you say as you had the opportunity to explain at the interview. The interview will be recorded, normally on tape or CD and that can be used to prove what you said when they asked the questions.0
