They received my cancellation letter on the 15 July and as yet no refund. Rang them today (hold time was approx 10 mins and amazing I was connected in exactly 10 minutes!) and I was told she couldn't access my refund information unless I went through what my debts were. She said my debt was £10k (its not) and I asked how do you get this figure if you haven't credit searched me and she couldn't answer. She kept talking over me and said, "Don't you know what 3-5 working days means?" I said yes and I also know what "within 30 days" means but obviously Yes Loans don't.

I contacted the Financial Ombudsman and they have arranged to send them a letter and I have also sent them a complaint letter. We will see how it goes.

They received a letter from the Financial Ombudsman on 22 August stating I had a complaint and miraculously a cheque was issued on 23 August. Strange that!

    hi everyone,

i been scamed ok i didnt tell all my debts [...] how get my money back

So you lied during your application? Scammer meets scammer.

Anyway, to get a refund you could try following the advice on Yes Loan's website at http://www.yesloansuk.com/refund-information.php.

Well Yes Loans have yet to refund, the FOS sent them a letter on 19 August saying I had a complaint. I posed my complaint on 18 August. Yes Loans say they have not received either letter but a cheque was issued but I have never received it.

So to save waiting, I initiated a chargeback with my bank on Tuesday and I received the money back into my account today. If Yes Loans can't be bothered to refund I'll get it back myself.

My OH initiated a chargeback from Yes Loans earlier in the year but they found in YES loans favour.

Expect the money to be taken back out once they finish their investigations.

They stated in their investigation (the bank did) that they found in yes loans favour that the money was used in line with the terms laid out on the YES website.

They followed on to say that they can't take into account that the chap at YES loans stated he would only charge £1 to the card and that the card would only be used to verify ID and not for the purposes of the fee, he stated that it was my OH's responsibility to read the terms of the service for YES before giving them the card number.

HSBC closed by stating that as YES had my OH's details on file and the details my OH gave YES matched the details HSBC hold (address, name, etc) that there was no case - despite the fact YES used the card for a purpose other than that for which it was agreed the card would be used.

Chargebacks are utterly useless in instances like this.

TBH I'm still trying to get my head around why someone who has been a member on these forums for over 6 years, actually went with Yes Loans.

A simple search of these forums, would have shown you, what a huge mistake you would be making.

The card disputes team wanted a copy of the cancellation letter to yes loans before processing a chargeback. They received that yesterday and my account was credited today. Hopefully its a final decision.
