Yes Loans refund help required

Options
Hi,

I was stupid enough to apply for a Yes loan and paid the 69.50 'application' fee! Doh!

With loans they might like to say yes... well it appears with refunds they love to say NO (or ignore you altogether).

I've written to them to cancel within 14 days and requested my money back but as suspected after reading what people have put on here about them, nothing has happened.

I've considered putting a non fraudulent dispute in with my bank but was wondering if anyone has a useful email address / contact number for anyone at Yes. I've heard a forum member has one but not been able to get hold of them to get it.

Any advice appriciated.

;)
Over 12 months with no late payments! That's like really good for me! :A

  • hi, i know this probably won't help i did the same a few years ago when in was £49. they couldnt help, took ages to get hold of them, but in the small print it says put it in writing that you want a refund but you will have to wait 6 months before they are entitled to send it back less £5 admin charge... just be persistant

Cant do a dispute as you agreed to pay the fee. The fee is for them checking companies on your behalf and end up only offering high apr or no loans if your credit is bad. Im afraid you got stung this time im afraid.

Someone on here (Yorkshire something or other?) has a good deal of experience in dealing with these sharks. Trawl through the posts about this and you will find his/her contact details. You will probably get your fee back eventually if you are persistent.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.
  • Yeah I think his name is yorkshirelad. I have tried getting in touch but he hasn't responded yet... I'll keep on trying :)

Thanks for all your advice guys.

  • Hi Whitebeaver,

I've sent the info to your email address. Sorry it took me a while.
The trick with Yes Loans is not to give up - use the contact info I've given you and go after them. Sooner (usually) or later they will get fed up with you and refund you YOUR money.
    All the best.

  • Heya all,

I too was stupid enough to get suckered by these guys at Yes Loans.

Yorkshire Lad, any chance you could send me that address too please?

    Thank you,

    Matt.
  • how can these people keep on getting away with this. day after day, year after year. building peoples hopes up, and ripping them off, then having to chase the toeraggs to get ur money back...what is to stop thjem cleaning out the peoples bank accounts...

is this not illegal practice? surely they must be keeping within the law if they are still trading

Just Can't believe I was conned by these idiots too. They promised to get the funds into my account in 3-5 days when all along the loan wasn't even approved yet. Absolute Madness!!! The fee has already left my account and ever since I have been unable to speak to ANYONE at all as they keep putting me on hold and the line gets disconnected after a while. Not what I need while trying to juggle a hard day at work. Would really appreciate those contact details please. Yorkshirelad or anyone else that's got it PLEASE PLEASE send it to me ASAP as I am getting well and truly stressed and don't know what to do.

    Cheers.....
