MoneySaving Champagne Challenge:
Who can find the cheapest Van de Graaf Generator?
Having been reminiscing about these hair raising pieces of school science kits, it occured to me 'where do you buy one and cheaply'. Now there's a real challenge to see who the top MoneySavers are - so can find the cheapest, legit, preferably UK based Van de Graaf generator - a bottle of champagne to the winner.

If you want to know whether the VdGff machine is safe, or if you just want an introduction to the equiptment and how to safely use it you could do worse than visiting this site and watching the video.
It's been put together by teachers.tv and the Institute of Physics and it is a VERY good learning resource for Science/Physics. Some nice demonstrations too! :T
If you ever pass Daresbury, near Runcorn/Warrington the large tower there is one HUGE VdGff generator - so much fun! You don't want to buy one - Build it yourself - lot more fun!0
