Tax Credits did not deduct smp 07/08 year

Hi Everyone
Just realised that I did not deduct SMP from our earnings for tax year 07/08, this would of meant that my partner and I would of had a whopping £4000 less to declare for annual income for 07/08 tax year.
Does anyone know if it is it too late to claim for an underpayment for that year
Thanks

If your renewal for that year has been completed, then it probably is too late. Give the helpline a call anyway as they will take the details and pass it to TCO for consideration. It's unlikely you'll get the money as it is your responsibility to give make the deductions. There are working sheets with the reneal forms that are sent out to help you do this. Give them a call anyway though, it's worth a try!0
