Hi, I am on a fixed electric rate till oct 2009 yet my suppliers have written to me saying that from next month they are putting it up by 10 a month.
Does anyone know if they can do that if im on a fixed rate?
I rang them and said im on a fixed rate and that I have been in credit all through the summer and so by the time my fixed rate ends it should even out anyway yet they said they are still putting it up!
Thanks

Your direct debit is going up? Your prices are fixed but if your usage is more then your DD can still go up, similarly if the DD is to catch up for any debt.0

There's the issue. If it evens out by October you are going to go into the coldest part of the year without a buffer. They'll want you to have some credit to offset against/cover the extra you'll use.0 -
Fixed RATE, not fixed usage/payment. Sigh.0
