Holiday Clubs

Just got our first ever invitation to a holiday club presentation, offering the usual freebies.
I may go to claim these, but I'm unlikely to sign up.
Anyway, I can't find anything on the site recently on the subject.
Has anyone any experience of the presentations, claiming the freebies, or even membership (yes, I know that's unlikely, given you guys' experience in money saving!!)

Neil,
Just don't bother wasting your time.
I went last week completely determined not to sign anything. Prepared to walk away with freebies and not pay a penny - having done so many times via the freebies board! I thought I was above their tricks.
Not so, came out feeling completely had. Maybe I was influenced by my OH who is not so canny with money as myself, I don't know, but we signed up for the short deal. It's rubbish and I've tried to cancel but guess what - we can't! Legally they tie you to the deal. I'm going to fight it but it will be a miracle if we get anything back.
They are incredibly slick and clever. When I look back I can see how many tricks they used to entrap us and we didn't see them all. I should have done my homework before I went instead of afterwards, try this

If I can stop some of you from going then it wasn't all wasted. Apparently even the 'free holidays' aren't free and have so many inconveniences they're not worth it.
DON'T GO, STAY AT HOME AND DO THE IRONING, MUCH BETTER USE OF TIME!
salyou can't take it with you...0
