I always buy school uniform from M&S, I have tried Next, Adams, BHS, Tesco and Asda over the years but I prefer M&S, alot better quality and fit, they also have adjustable waist, which I find handy, some of the clothes also have stain guard (not sure if it works or not as kids are getting older and don't have that problem so much now) as for the prices they don't seem to be much more expensive than Asda, etc and if you wait until mid june they do 3 for 2 on all schoolwear so works out even cheaper.
