Saved 10% on gas and electricity :-)
Got my latest bill from Powergen and I noticed two things.
1) I'd built up a reserve of £50.
2) My estimated meter readings were quite a way out.
So, I submitted my readings online and a few days later rang them up and asked them to recalculate my usage.
Net result, £40 back from my reserve.
Monthly bill cut to £36 from £40.
Ok ok ok - so I won't be buying a new car with the savings - but if you're looking to cut back a bit, submit an accurate reading and ask them to recalculate.
Happy Wednesday!

With respect you haven't saved 10% on gas and electricity.
If you are overpaying, by all means get a credit balance refunded and your Direct Debit reduced. However that money would have remained in your credit balance and no doubt offset any rises in the following year.
However all you are saving is a couple of pounds interest if you put the money in the bank.0
