Can I tfr my husbands cc balances to mine?

Hi there

I am new to this site (its brilliant!) I have had a look around and can't find an answer to this. There are several issues I would like to resolve in due course but the first is about credit cards.

My husband has always been a spender and we upped our mortgage recently to get rid of his debts (we keep our money separate for various reasons) but he didn't get enough and he is left with some credit cards he can't pay off. (I couldn't believe it and I know I should have checked what he was doing, but you live and learn!)

Anyway, I want him to just get rid of these cards as I think if he leaves a balance on them the likelihood he will just run them up again. I have nearly paid off my own credit card (Barclaycard) and I am thinking of transferring his credit card debts onto my card once I have a zero balance on it (or a new 0% - not sure yet). Can I take on his debts in this way or will they only allow me to tfr my own credit card balances?

many thanks for your help :-)

Yes you can unless the cards are supplied by the same provider: http://www.stoozing.com/cards.htm.
All you need to make a transfer is the other card 16-digit number.

Just remember though, its now your debt and should anything happen, the law would not be on your side. Sorry for sounding gloom & doom, but it does happen
