the conditioner I got leaves my hair feeling really dry and tangly so I am not going to ruin my hair any longer with it. I dont really like to fill landfills with stuff so wondered if anyone has any other uses for conditioner. I have a shampoo trial that left my hair dry so will be using that to wash delicates in. Will conditioner be any good as a fabric softener??

Have found some cracking ones on google, like if you have a shrunk jumper, put it in some water with a capful of conditioner overnight and it will go back to normal size :j

Face lotion x 2 bottles.

I'm slightly concered that that face lotion info states that " every precaution has been taken to minimise the risk of skin irritations, eg through raw material assessments and safety profiling of the products. However these formulations are still developmental and we cannot guarantee that they won't cause a reaction"


I thought we were just testing the product to see if they do what they are supposed to do and to get our thoughts on them, not to be a "guinea pig" to see if they cause a reaction?

Essex Boots dont test on animals. Prob cos animals dont use cosmetics and makeup..Part of why we test is to see if there are any allergic reactions.

I have never had any issues aside from a trial of food supplements which made me very ill after only one pill. I stopped immediately and phoned Boots to tell them.

I've had the face lotion too this morning, I have put it on and had about 6 spots on my face in and hour and a half. They told me to stop using.

The lady I spoke to said it was rosewater based, so there must be something in it that irritated my skin.

I received two parcels from Boots today - the curly hair intensive conditioner (tube had split so half of it was in the envelope and all over the questionnaire!) and the two bottles of lotion. I'm presuming the lotions are toner as the instructions don't state but that's what they seem to be. Hadn't noticed the warnings so will be more careful than usual when trying them I think.

It doesn't say on the webpage either so I may ring them, thanks. I'm pretty sure it must be toner though especially with it containing rosewater.
