Has anyone been to Santa Ponsa (or Majorca in general) in September? Thinking of going this year (around the 19th of Sept) but would like to know if it's still hot there at this time in the year?
Or has anyone got recommendations of where is nice, hot (and cheap!!
) for September?
Thanks

Majorca in september is still very hot, but as with anywhere in the med you may get the odd thunderstorm. I lived on the island for years, and would even take a holiday in october. Usually by late summer the night have got a little cooler, which is more refreshing. In July/August temperatures regularly reach 40, which I find a bit much!
Santa Ponsa is quite a large resort now, and you'll find it's in full swing until beginning of november.
Whilst you are there, DO visit inland, as the island is wonderful, and few tourists see just how special it really is.0 -
I went to Alcudia in September a few years ago, it was warm but we had a few showers. It was a bargain price too.0

My sister and I travelled to Majorca a few years ago now in September, and it rained whe whole week, this was early September too, and it was quite chilly aswell... we were both really cheesed off to say the least!!! I think we were extremely unlucky. However, I also have been in July and we had 3 days rain then too! My parents have been numerous times in October and had lovely weather, so I suppose it's just the look of the drawer, maybe if you are going that time of year again to think of going to the one of the canaries islands.... a longer flight but almost guaranteed the weather! I hope this helps.0

September is more unsettled as the season's are changing you will always get some rain but a weeks worth is unusual - October is more settled and mellow - personally it's one of my favorite months on Majorca.0
