pet insurance help

Hiya, we are moving to Germany next month and trying to find european pet insurance for our puppy, but cant find any for european??
Anyone help me?

Not sure if HMF does some sort of scheme but no doubt DA will know. This might be of help though. I emailed a German friend of mine in the insruance industry there and he says the following:

I think it is quite different to England. I just know Pet Insurance from Allianz and they started this kind of Insurance only one year ago or something like that. So this is a brand new insurance sector in Germany I would say.

Umm, well, you can't, they are german companies! If you have a contact in germany or a german language tutor they might be able to help you?

When you get to Germany there are brokers situated on or near the bases who specialise in handling Insurance for UK HMF posted their. You will find O'Girkes have offices at most bases (They are often staffed by HMF wives so speak good English and are set up to handle Insurance for HMF.

You could try contacting them prior to leaving or speak to one of the welfare offices on the base who might be able to ask around if any one else has pet cover.

There used to be a broker in the Bordon area who had a scheme for Pet Insurance that covered worldwide, unfortunately I cannot find them on google.

Try ringing Pet Plan in the UK as they are owned by Allianz who are a very big German Insurer. They may be able to point you in the right direction.
