    I was under the impression that the now "disgraced" guy who ran BP got a lot of flack from the other "sisters" when he broke rank and went public investing serious money on climate change and alternative energy?
    The funny little wind generators on BP service stations are quite fun though and lots of service stations heat themselves with heat pumps.

    Not read all of this thread/article but feel its worth pointing out that as the price of oil rises, the number of 'reserves' also rises, as it becomes economically viable to drill for and refine heavier oils that when the price of a barrel is low it is not...if that makes sense (its late!). Hence much fluctuation in what actually constitutes reserves over the years.
