OMG! I just called npower and asked about the rates I would be paying for this and found out that the sales man I spoke to at the ideal home show completely made it up about the £100 discount!! There is no discount at all and it was also put on the standard rate which is much more than the internet (£159 more per year)!!!
She's put a complaint in about him and I've cancelled my contract. What an idiot to do this, did he really think he wouldn't get caught out!
I hope nobody has rushed down there to get this deal that doesn't exist.
I'll be signing up online instead.0 -
Bruce, it wasn't a young man called Jordan you spoke to by any chance was it? He looked about 19! Apparently they can't give any discount at all!0

That's awful, what people do to get their commission (and your phone number! :rotfl: ).
Glad you figured it out in the end.0 -
If he got my number it was only off the form. I didn't give it to him personally, I'm married!! He wrote his number on my contract (and his home number!!) other wise I wouldn't have taken it.
Hope he get's sacked for wasting my time.0 -
There is a £60 rebate from npower if you stay with them for a year, have both gas and electric from them and pay by direct debit.0

Looks like slimeball Jordan was using his job to fill his little black book and won't care if he's sacked - probably only hired for the show anyway!
As salesmen say "its a numbers game" so he' probably got enough dates until the next show.
Learn from the mistakes of others - you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.0
