You have to sign up for freecycle group. I got several window frames last year, which are now coldframes full of veg.

    How do I sign up?

My gardening enthusiasm has taken a bit of a battering of late and I find myself wishing I had an elderly relative to mentor me and tell me the basics.

As it is, it's not "what can I grow" it's "what won't I kill".

And I have considered asking the council for more recycling boxes (you can do this if you have loads to put out) and using them. :o They're excatly the right size & green and everything...

<cough> errrr....its Council Tax paid by other people that covers the cost of those recycling containers<cough>....so "acquiring" boxes for purposes other than those they are meant for would mean other Council Tax payers would be paying for garden containers for someone else........

Thinks....if I spot a lot of other people using recycling containers for other purposes...wonder if I could ask for a refund of a bit of my Council Tax on the grounds that I'm not volunteering to pay for other peoples garden containers.
