Urgent - Solicitor in Peterborough

Hi

I have sold my house :D
Now I need to sort out a solicitor - we want to put an offer in on a property today. Live in Peterborough and I know there are a few people on here that live around this area.
Can anyone recommend a good solicitor? I am tempted to just go with the estate agency conveyencing firms, as they use three that I know of in town.

Also, last time I bought I had nothing to sell. This time I do have. Will the quote that I have received from the EA conveyencers be just to sell? Really hadn't even thought about legal fees for buying and selling.

This whole process is stressing me out more than I ever imagined :o

Thanks, but money is less important than service, so a personal recommendation would be ideal. I think you get what you pay for with some things and can't better than a recommendation.

Try John Magee at Waller Needham and Green. John has done our last 3 properties and he has a great atitude (IMO). The secretary / receptionists are a bit like rockweillers, but would still recommend him.

John can be contacted on Peterborough 311422.

    Best of Luck.

I have just accepted on offer on my house in Hampton :D , so will be asking John to work for me again in the next few days.

Congrats on selling yours - it's a great feeling when it's sold, but I am finding that the stress is just beginning!!!

Just put in an offer on a property now and am waiting to hear back.
Will give John a ring and get a quote.

    Thanks again.

So far have only tried Waller Needham and Green and they were very prompt in getting a quote over to me. Will try William Walker too. Just not sure of the pros and cons of traditional ones versus going through EA conveyencers. With EA one there is no legal fee if it falls through, which sounds good. However, they are about £200 more expensive.

Any advice on which is best to use?
