I do my on line shopping with my main bank account which has about £2000 in it , should i really set up an account with just couple of hundred in ?

If you are worried about fraud/theft - use a credit card. If there is a problem at least you have a chance to argue the point and choose whether you pay the bill, rather than money just vanishing out of your account and then, having a fight to get it back0
