Over 6 years.

Quick question on something I have done a bit of research myself but unfortunately can not find a definitive answer so I thought I would post up to see what answers I get.

I have a very old Credit card that I cancelled approx 9 years ago. Now Im aware that in English law Im tied to 6 years (scotland 5) but Im sure in my quest I found a site which said the legal wording was infact 6 years since the charges OR 3 years since the discovery that the charge was in fact illegal. (or words to that effect)

Have tried in vain to find this site again but to no avail.

Any clarification on this point or anybody know for sure whether or not this is possible ?

Incidentally, I did stumble across the Thrifty scot site which mentions you can reclaim over 6 years but you need the statements detailing the charges for this.
If you see a penny, pick it up, all day long you'll have good luck !!!!!! :D

I think the word you were looking for is UNLAWFUL as illegal is criminal court and bank charges is civil court. Any link to that site cos as it is 9 years old then I would doubt you would get passed the Statute of Limitations unless you are arguing s32 concealment which is a very difficult argument to make and I haven't seen any successes on any forums.
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009
